Day 14 NaNo - 37266

Started the day with a determined effort to fill in one of the less interesting days, a day when I need to establish minor relationships without resorting to 'and then' too many times.    After 1500 words I'd got to nine o'clock in the morning, with nothing happening.   Probably OK in the finished novel but no good for a finish in ~16 days ....

    I've been hanging on to some oddments as a kind of buffer so that it wouldn't matter if I missed a couple of days. Well, I missed a couple of days cos I've been feeling under the weather, and now I'm up against the wire again. This year might not happen. It'll be close - but I'm not making promises.

    OK, so no promises, but I hope you do manage it ... AND that you're feeling better now. I've just made things easier for myself by reducing the cruise from two weeks to ten days, thus telescoping the action.
