'Wedding night'

It had been her choice to sleep on the pull-down settee in the cabin, and to be fair she was perfectly willing to do so - far easier than sharing a bed for all it was a large one – every cabin had been fitted out with ‘honeymoon cruise’ in mind.   Baz was snoring very gently, his back to her and although she was averting her eyes for the most part she was startled to see, in the pale light through the porthole, that the impression given by his naked back – she trusted he wore at least boxers below that sheet! - was of a powerful beauty: not a word usually associated with Baz Rose!   Smiling to herself, Madigan, as she was now calling herself:  not too difficult and a name she could get used to, reached into the wardrobe for her jeans and fleece and slipped into the bathroom to dress.   She smiled again at her reflection:  on-end hair could at a pinch look like a night of passion had been spent, but her faded, penguin-patterned winceyette pyjamas had been the least seductive she possessed.

  1. I see you've labelled it NaNoWriMo2011. Is that the plan? I might end up making my current WIP into a NaNo this year because I'm aiming for 80,000 words and so far I think I'm at 16,000! So I might still need 50,000 by the start of November.

Baz hasn't struck me as the kind who'd bother with boxers in bed....... There's a plot line under those sheets. :)

  2. MorningAJ - I'm intrigued by your logic wrt NaNoWriMo2011 & WIP - I wasn't sure that was 'allowed' but it's one I'll certainly go for ... this couple are starting to fill my head too much to wait until November.
(and yes, you are right about Baz ... but you'll have to wait a bit)
