HoW now

Boarding pass for first hop printed
passport, visa, where to meet
to-be-packed clothes and open suitcase
pile of books to be thinned out
panic vies with anticipation:
I fly to Atlanta in the morning.

This not turning out to be quite the small stone it was originally  intended to be I've put it here.   'HoW' stands for 'House of Writers' or 'House of Words' which will be the second gathering of fellow bloggers on the Six Sentences social site, all of whom have become friends over the past year or so.   The first one was in New Orleans last September, this second event will be in North Carolina - three times the number attending and much anticipation of good chat and getting to know each other and, of course, lots of talk about writing.

9/3 - future travelling

Several warming reminders today of the forthcoming House of Writers gathering in North Carolina:   a comment on the subject of Utopia by  Mike Handley - he and his wife Gita have very kindly offered to let me stay with them for a couple of days before the event so that I can recover from jet lag, an experience which which more than double the enjoyment both before and after the event;  a Facebook comment on the subject of friendship from Michael B,  and other 6S posts from the many others who will be there ... July can't come quick enough.
