Not only am I heading for Stirling in readiness for tomorrow's Bloody Scotland Crime Writing Masterclass, but today's the day when Scotland votes whether or not to become independent from the UK.I sincerely hope not.
And whatever the vote, the weekend will be dominated by that as much as the writing of crime.
But will undoubtedly be a good one.

ReplyDeleteDerek - surprisingly quiet - subdued and thoughtful, so no ideas as such (!) but some wonderful input from the Masterclass (thank you Liam Bell for 'Opening lines', Helen Sedgewick for synopsis advice, and a panel on publishing.
ReplyDeleteChristopher Brookmyre was superb both as a teacher (as is especially his latest Jasmins Sharp trilogy) and for a story he read out that evening - clever and hugely amusing, vividly illustrating his "Write to amuse yourself"
