Bloody incompetent Blurb!!!

They tell me after I have wasted weeks going backwards and forwards that Bookify 'does not do black and white text' and since I cannot see the final half a dozen pages onscreen then I should just delete them!
No matter that the denoument is on the final, missing page!!!

  1. Who have you tried now? Lulu?
Blurb are expensive (although the finished article looks good). Not sure who else might be a good idea.

    1. I haven't finished steaming yet!!
I wanted a programme that allowed me to indent paragraphs and thus do away with the need for a blank line between each, but also to be able to upload my own images for the cover, without having to use Adobe 'In Design'. They suggested using an app with Bookify which, with one or two compromises, worked brilliantly. Except that the price kept coming up at £32 thinking it to be a full-colour book.
I did look at Create Space but disliked the need to get tax forms and have them dictate price. Haven't looked at Lulu.

    2. Lulu's not the most user-friendly system but it will let you upload whatever you want as a cover. You're limited to a few fonts, unless you want to go to the trouble of embedding, but they're handy ones. The Wise Child came out at £9 for 260 pages. And you have the option of releasing an e-version at no extra cost to you!
