4/3

Today's travelling was through time, twice.
Once to search reasons for and age at deaths
(so as to explain my 'family history'
for next week's 'healthy heart check')
and finding, on the BMD the hitherto
unlooked for death of Arthur Topple
in 1935, aged seventy-five.

The other, far far older:
sea eagle totem,
neolithic Orcadians
of Isbister

  1. Arthur Topple stayed on his feet a remarkable time, considering his name. Orcadians sounds like a play.

  2. Rachel: My grandmother, Arthur's daughter, always claimed to have "Toppled into a Poole" when she married Philip Poole in 1910.
